So blessed

My heart sank when I heard news at CNN that China experiencing 7.9 Richter scale magnitude earthquake. Initially it was reported 5,000 dead, then next days more than 10,000 and latest as at now, more than 20,000 dead with more than 26,000 still buried under the massive concrete debris. And on May 3, Cyclone Nargis unleashed her fury on Myanmar at left more than 60,000 to 100,000 dead and still counting. There are so many gruesome pictures on the Internet that you might want to think twice before viewing.

"I prayed to the Lord Buddha, 'Please save us from another cyclone. Not just me but all of Myanmar,"' Min Min, whose house was destroyed in Cyclone Nargis, told AP. The rickshaw driver, his wife and three children now live on their wrecked premises under plastic sheets.

I cried on reading this; how great it is if they will ever know that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Saviour, our Comforter in time of distress. Aren’t we blessed? With me crunching deep fried tofu rojak with peanuts while typing this. Mmm… delicious. Haiyah…. made me feel so bad.

Our Bible is REAL living truth. As a believer of Christ; events happen nowadays doesn’t come to a surprise even though we were shocked and disbelief by such multitude. Bible stated clearly that there WILL be disasters. What we ought to do is continue to pray for God’s mercy and protection upon us.
Looking at Emelee slept so soundly really touches me on how faithful and great our God, I am so blessed. I am out of words.

p.s.: please be extra careful when venture out at night and do not go for late night mamak. Also yah, next posting I should write some about my wife. She starts complaining the blog title doesn't relates to her :)

Belated Mother's Day

Brought Alicia for dinner at Korean restaurant in Ampang yesterday. Our dinner being spoilt by Emelee falling off from the chair :) She had a real hard cry with tears flowing from her eyes. We did realize the chair back rest gap was so huge. Litterally, she was fallen off from her back. Thank God she is alright. But we continue enjoying our dinner with BBQ beef and pork belly while she slept soundly at the corner. So far this is the 4th restaurants we have tried. (didn't manage to take photo - this one located next to Iranian restaurant).

My little Emelee starts developed slight flu. Got to pay more attention since we have been busy going places with her have to endure the extensive "traveling schedules" we have. Last Saturday we also visit my brother-in law new house in Selayang. I've not been taking Sunday nap for quite sometime, ended up sleeping for more than 2 hours. Just nice for me to go sports crazy for watching F1 race and Man Utd vs Wigan Athletic. How could I say - results within my hope - Man Utd premier league champion and Ferrari 1&3. Down a bottle of beer; at the end, at tired as before I got a decent sleep :( And it's Monday next day!

Born Again

Yesterday marked 9 years since the day I received Jesus as my Lord and Saviour! Wow! nine years; it was just about few years I thought. Praise God also my eldest sister in Taiwan got baptised 2 weeks ago. And my mom and dad also accepted the Lord about 3 years ago. Truly God says "when one is save, the whole house will be save". I will continue to pray for my brother and sisters.

There is nothing significant; no lighting, scotching hot sun, no freezing cold etc. While on a business trip to Batu Pahat to visit a brokerage firm to attend an IT audit exit meeting, Lum Chee Wah and I was cruising along the trunk road to Batu Pahat. With me still worrying over whether I have pick up a ticket earlier along highway because I just notice the police had setup a speed trap. Will a simple invitatio; Bro. Chee Wah asked me; do you want Jesus in your life? I must admit a little confuse and unsure - but I say YES! There we go; pulling my car by the road side and said my sinners prayer! There rest was history. Shall share more later :)

Day by day, Emelee started to learn quite a number of bad habits - throwing things onto the floor and refusing to listen to instruction. But she seems to know a lot of things and able to understand what we want her to do, but refusing to do it - sight! I guess this is part of her learning stage. Overall, she is adorable :)

Free RPK!

It was distressing to learn that Raja Petra Kamaruddin (www.malaysia-today.net) was sent to jail after refusing to post bail, a matter of principle. He was charged on Tuesday with sedition for allegedly implying the deputy prime minister was involved in the sensational killing of a young Mongolian womanThe court set trail on 6 Oct. He is one of my favourite news blogger which I visited his blog almost everyday for balanced news besides our usual mainstream media.

Let's show our solidarity by praying for him and his family. You can join Facebook support group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=18169906223

15 Soon

This month 14th May, Emelee will be 15 month old. Time flies. Seeing her growth really interesting. She start using a handful of words like "Amen" (yes she says it when we pray for her), Mum-Mum, PaPapa, Mamama, Nien-Nien (milk lah!) and host of others. She even know how to throw tantrums nowadays! Emm... time to start teaching her not to.

Injured Emelee (Repost)

<>

Emelee knock her face hard on the sliding door after jumping off from the sofa! Yes, that's the stunt she has made the other day. Look at her "blue-black" face. Of course she cried for a while. Thank God she is fine and nothing serious except with a temporary scar face.

Former PM's Blog

Hey, quite surprise that our former prime minister has a blog. Seems like more and more politician became blogger. Visit his page at http://www.cedet.com.

Blessed belated birthday, Dad

Last Sunday we had a lunch for our dad 70th birthday. Due to the need to juggle our time, we just held this lunch a bit later. Hope our dad don't mine; judging from his response, he is indeed doesn't mine :) Dad has been ageing as time goes, I pray dad will continue to be healthy and strong.

A bit about my dad, I still remember he faithfully sent me to/from kindergarten with his bicycle without fail. I will always hold tight at the back. Again, that was many many years ago. I dred what will happen today with the increase in traffic volume, not forgetting many very impatience drivers on the road nowadays. Well, that is part of the memory I had went I was young. There are many more fond memories which I hopeI can write some other days.

Meanwhile, here are some of the mouth watering dishes at Restaurant Regent Seremban. This restaurant used to be so-called "The restaurant" serving most of the wedding functions for Seremban folks during the 80's. Business was bad for the last couple of years due to influx other restaurants. And Seremban people very particular about food pricing, taste and service (of course amount of serving). But I am quite surprise with what they have served that day; reasonably price, good taste and service. Seems like this restaurant slated for a rebound back to its glorious day.
