Wallk little Emelee, Walk!

Emelee is perfecting the thumb-and-finger grasp, a very good sign of element of developing co-ordination. However, we have to be extra careful not to leave small things that she could choke on lying around the house. She’ll use her mouth to explore every fascinating little item within reach, from buttons, chairs, sofa and even table! And her reach is expanding with each passing week. Nevertheless, we try to give her chance to explore. This week has been really exciting for us as she can walk a few steps without being assisted. Check out her video below:

This week also seen God's hand moving in our church first ever Christmas Forever musical show. Many hours and members of the church have been involved in this musical show. Glory to God! I was involved as an in-keeper. Can recognize me?

This picture was taken during Christmas eve at our babysitter house before we adjourned to friends pot-bless party.

On Christmas day itself, we had Christmas luncheon attended by almost 1200 of our church members and their family. Seen here Tommy Thai with Emelee.

Greeting from SG

Hi, have not been updating this blog with Emelee's photo for quite some time. Searching back my picture folders amazed me with the enormous amount of pictures I have taken. I had to spend some time categorize these pictures and delete those with poor quality. Even pictures taken recently in Shanghai have not been fully sorted out yet. Attached here are few photos taken recently in Singapore after finishing my Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (not full marathon-lah! ran half-marathon only). Hopefully I can really upload her photo album on the next posting.

Emelee still have the only two small little teeth since she came back from Shanghai last month. No indication of growing the remaining as yet. She has learned the skills to get down from the sofa; of course she is still trying the other way which is climbing up. Brought her to the swimming pool yesterday and she really likes it; start kicking with her short little legs.

We're Back!

Hi, we are back! Thank God for journey mercy and gave us a wonderful time when we were in Shanghai, Hainan Island and Hangzhou. We really have great time in these places and enjoyed every moment of it though it was tiring and weather was cold. Shanghai gave me the perspective of massive development happen in China; Hangzhou is peaceful while Hainan Island was relaxing. Hope to post more pictures here once sorted out.

Antics of Emelee

Emelee crawled faster and faster nowadays. She is able to look for us in our room when we called her. This few weeks have been busy for us with lots of traveling. Sometimes this has taken a toll on Emelee as her sleeping time has been occasionally interrupted. The next major traveling will be 2 weeks holiday to Shanghai from 1-15 Nov. Can’t wait to see Emelee on the plane! Praise God, most of her air fare has been covered as recently I won some cash in a contest.

(picture on shows with her godmother)

"Chia-chai" - Clowning around.

She is really happy when she is on our bed. Jumping, rolling around.

Just brought her to Suria, KLCC tonight (yesterday). She is really got lots of attention from shoppers ~sigh~

Papa! Not Daddy!

Yes, she can murmur “papa”. Why not daddy? Probably our babysitter teaches her. Never mind, I m happy though.

Today, I am home alone with Emelee. Mummy went to Masjid Tanah, Melaka for a short mission trip. Leaving me taking care of Emelee single handled for the first time today evening and tomorrow. Babysitter looks after her in the morning. So far manageable except her appetite changed today and probably she ate too much porridge in the afternoon. And guess what, she already slept before 8pm during feeding time.

The days we can let her sleep in one location are over. She starts pulling herself up, grabbing on to any available piece of furniture and then standing while holding onto it in a steady way. She also crawled around the house and keeps us busy to ensure she don’t grab whatever within her reach and put into her mouth. She is really energetic lot. ~sigh~

I am going to apply for my passport!

Applied a passport for Emelee for our coming trip to Shanghai. I can say the Immigration department has improved a lot. No more long queues, stuffy office, and sour face officials. It took us only 2 hours to get the application submitted, fee paid (RM150) and passport collected. Enough time for us have our breakfast. And there was special counter for disabled, senior citizens and child below 2 yrs.

Hello from Emelee!

Emelee is doing well. Praise the Lord. Nowadays she slept quite early and wakes up early in the morning at about 6am. We let her drink some water and she continues to sleep until 7am. We have begun introducing formula milk to her to reduce reliance to Alicia's breast milk. And she adapted well to different diet - cereal, porridge, fruits.

I Am Six Months Old!

Time flies. Emelee was already six months old. She is getting adorable as day goes by. Now she knows how to win our hearts with her smiles and antics. She is able to sit upright fairly well now and sometimes trying to stand up instead by holding on to anything within her reach. She starts crawling all over the living hall with ambition of venturing into the kitchen. Seems like the day where we can leave her alone in the same place are over. Thank God she can play at her own in the living hall while we prepare ourselves for work every morning. Of course, we have “natural” alarm every day as she woke up by 7am, by 7:30am she will start yelling at us to bring her out from her room. Solid food was introduced to her and she likes it very much, without resistance as we usually read in articles. Praise the Lord! My overtime nowadays is to tuck her to the bed at night; praying, worship and rock her until she sleeps. And she is getting heavier and it is quite challenging though, my hand start aching.

Pictures taken on 12 Aug.

A face full of curiosities!

My Nanny

Hi, this is my nanny. She took care of me very well!
And you know what; I have started to take solid food.... slurp....!! But I took just a few spoons. I have improved my crawling skill and do not shout anymore....:)

Half-Year - Emelee into fifth month

I am five month old!

daddy's dearest

I am able to sit upright. Soon, this sofa space belongs to me!

Mom's dearest

Just Awesome!

My daughter is just awesome! She is really sweet. don't you think so? Look at her smiles......
We were truely blessed... She really know how to roll to the left or right. It's a matter of time she will know how to crawl soon.

Give Thanks

Yes, juz give thanks for this day that the Lord has blessed us with. Coz, God said tomorrow is not promise to us. Often we take it for granted. We mumble, curse, angry at without realizing that this day God has given us is to be use to the fullest. No matter how small things you have achieved, how mundane your life today, just say Thank you Jesus!

Emelee must have been having a tiring day. She was so obediently slept early today. Her smiles nowadays really captivate our hearts. She will never hesitate to offer us her charming smiles and continuous laughter. She starts gaining
weight as you can notice with her photo posted and very active in performing “stunt” by rolling on the floor mat. That’s why I will never stop praising God. No matter these days is a bad or good one.

Happy Fathers Day!

Yup, here am I, wishing it myself. How great it is if my daughter, Emelee can wish me blessed father day now. Anyway, my wife has done that today and hope Emelee will do that in future. Blessed father's day to every father on earth. And most important, Blessed Father Day to our Father in Heaven! You really made us proud and blessed!

Blood Needed!!!

Before I write further, my apology if I sound caution about blood! No I do not need blood, but i've donated 450ml blood today :) And i think this is the right thing to do. This was my 6th times and it has been almost 4 years since my last donation made.

I thank God I've a healthy body to live with (though occasionally felt my "engine" a bit rusty). This year alone, I've came across a church member and my wife's friend died due to blood cancer. That shows we should not take our life for granted. Instead we must use it to its fullest and to fullfill what the Lord has commanded us to do.

Emelee was 4 months old now and we responded to us very well. Almost everywhere she goes, people commented her being adorable. God is really awesome in seeing us through the challenge to bring up a child and we will surely depend on His grace He has showered upon us. Amen.

It's going to be 4th month

Yes, tomorrow will be Emelee's 4th month. However, it seems to be very long since she was born. We are really excited to see her growth. She thrives on our attention. Occasionally she is crying when we left her alone and very jovial when we talk to her. Hope this won’t be a habit.

We manage to adjust our lifestyles nowadays. Though it may not be that flexible anymore, but Alicia and I manage to squeezes some time together at night by letting Emelee sleep earlier.

Time catching up

Time is catching up. I have to admit that I'm no longer that energetic as use to be. My whole body was aching now due to the fact that I still treat my body like 10 years ago. Running 5km is like running 10km. Can't imagine I was so "gung-ho" in those day when running 21km half-marathon shouldn't be a problem. This could be also due to the fact that I have not been running for quite some time. With Emelee on board and having to adjust our new lifestyles, this leave little time for me to do so, unless I sacrifice my sleep to wake up early in the morning, which I have done so for groceries shopping at wet market.

This led me to assess my own spiritual wellbeing. Yes, it has been slacking and I need some "spiritual exercise" to get back in shape spiritually.

As days goes by, Emelee starting to gain weight. That’s a good sign, thank God for that. However she still coughs occasional and we have to defer her scheduled immunization job. It is also a matter of time before she will be crawling. Look at this picture.

Look at her, she wanna craw. Breast milk really does wonders on her. She still yet to take a single drop of baby formula. Let’s continue to pray that she grow healthily.

5 Years Old Mother?

Sound so so weird isn't? A mother at 5 years old. According to Wired.com in 1939, May 14, Lina Medina became the youngest confirm mother in medical history, delivering a son at age 5. Check the full article at Wired news at

Time flies and guess what? It's Friday again! Time to rest our body and soul again. How I wish so! Yup, it's weekend thingy again, cleaning up, shopping for groceries, going to church. Seems to be routine. Well, this Saturday a bit differ from the norm. Going to company sponsored charity run. Hmm.. running is my favorite and it has been few years never participate in marathons. However, this time is just merely 5 km leisure run. However, have not been training for even for 1 km. Lets see what happen tomorrow.

3 months

Yes, it has been exactly 3 months since Emelee was born on 14 Feb. She has gained some weight although initially we were so concern about her tiny size. If not because of her fever and cough these few days, she will definitely gained more. She is more alert nowadays with most of our queries responses with smiles.
Training her to sleep early at 8pm with another feeding at 11pm. So far she adapted to it quite well. However, Alicia has to sacrifice her sleep by waking up around 2-3am for another feeding.
We used to let her sleep at 11pm until the next morning.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers! Especially to my wife, who will be celebrating for the first time as a mother. Are they really happy? well, it is not easy to be a mother, obviously. I think most mothers out there agree with me. they really need to be appreciated. In show of appreciation, I brought my wife to Korean restaurant in Ampang for dinner. Emelee also attracted Korean these kids. .......
Every year, this day usually most of the restaurant were pack with people who bring their mother's / parents for a treat. Got to know also Mother’s day is celebrated on different days throughout the world. Thank you thank you Mom.... God will continue to comfort mothers as she comforts her child -
Isaiah 66:13.

My girl is sick!

Has been long never update and I kept telling myself to update, update, update this blog! Though it will be more appealing to read others blog rather updating my own.

Visited mom in-law’s in Kulai, Johor during Labour and Wesak day holiday early this month.

Emelee was sick yesterday, coughing and high fever. Thank God it has subsided this morning and now she is back to normal chirpy mood, though at times a bit fussy. Hope we have better sleep tonight…. Yes, welcome to the reality of parenthood. There is so much more to learn and explore as parent. Now she prefers to sit on our lap.

This month is going to be another busy month for me, having 3 projects on hand running concurrently. Keep remind myself "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble – Psalm 46:1".

Though week!!

Going through difficult a week with lots things to do in the office. Back home, it's really enjoy to see Emelee smiling after a tiring day at work. She has gained weight - 3.65kg. Poor Emelee, she got a triple boost immunization jab today. Finally, we met a pediatrician / lactation consultant who really encourages us on breastfeeding. She gave us few tips and allays our doubts.

Emelee is still fully breast fed and it starting to take a toll on Alicia. She has to juggle work; breast feed Emelee and expressing milk. Our freeze now fill with expressed breast milk :P.
